Thua Thien-Hue holds rehearsal of sea rescue in storm

A rehearsal to rescue victims of a tropical storm on the sea took place in the coastal district of Phu Loc in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue on August 28.


The rehearsal was organized by Thua Thien-Hue province in preparation for the current storm and rainy season. The rehearsal had the participation of the local police, border guard, militia forces, and local people.

The situation set for the rehearsal: storm is measured at grade 9, with wind speeds of over 100km/hour in the eye of the storm. The storm is moving very fast to the coast. There are two fishing boats lost in the sea and three people have been swept away.

In the rehearsa, rescue workers had to help local residents strengthen their houses and evacuate people to safer locations. They also practiced rescuing victims in various circumstances.
